You can visit the Cosmonaut Training Center of the Star Town (in the Moscow’s area). Meeting with the top rank officials and instructions. Visit to the airdrome depot of the IL – 76 MDK flying laboratory aircraft. Participation in the aircraft flight with simulation of the zero gravity conditions.
During the trip to the Star Town you can try Medical and Psychological tests.
You will be proposed lectures in the Planetarium, virtual space navigation and observation with simulation use of the control panel of the International Space Station and the Soyuz TM spaceship. Getting acquainted in overload Conditions training in the Centrifuge.
Star Town or City (little town of stars) is a highly restricted military facility northeast of Moscow located at 55.880585° N 38.110542° E, served by Chkalovskoye/Airport Chkalovskiy airfield, where cosmonauts have been trained at the Gagarin Cosmonauts Training Centre (GCTC) since the 1960s.
In the Soviet era the town was a highly confidential and secured area, isolated from the rest of the world. Today, many Russian cosmonauts live in Star City with their families. The town has its own post office, shops, railway station and a museum of space travel.
In the mid- to late 1990s, groups of select students from the high school in Star City participated in the Russian American Cultural Exchange Program (RACE). Students first hosted, then visited, American counterparts attending the 5 high schools in the Sewanhaka Central High School District on Long Island.
